Integrate SAM with Accounting Software such as Xero or QuickBook.
Integrating SAM with any accounting software would automate and simplify a lot of manual process in terms of replicating sales data information from SAM to any financial system. It would also provide greater visibility in terms of sales for both the art centre and the finance for example invoice generated in SAM should be automatically feeding straight to the financial system and payment of invoices should be the same where the finance team receives payment and art centres should be able to automatically looking at paid invoices in SAM. The current system of exporting is time consuming (very labour intensive).…

Can subject's and messages sent with artwork certificates and receipts be customised (eg. below)
Artwork Certificate email subject line- Martumili Artists Artwork Certificate (with ref #)
Receipt email subject line- Receipt Martumili Artists (with ref #)
Biography email subject line- Biography Martumili Artists

Allowing you to customise the message for a SAM page like artworks. If you make no changes the default subject will be used. -
Consignment ref # and invoice ref # to be placed on the same part of the page.

WYSIWYG report editor
Switch to a more intuitive, WYSIWYG editor that works in the same way as other common layout programs (e.g. InDesign) and doesn't rely on an outdated and insecure platform (Flash) but instead makes use of the functionality in HTML5.
1 voteWe did try the new HTML5 editor for this tool but it had too many bugs. We have given feed back to the supplier and will hope the next version is improved. But we too are wanting a more current editor.

Product movements on consignments
Can SAM track the merchandise movement on consignment? so if 5 was consigned, and 4 is sold, it notes down 1 left? that way we know when to restock products on consignments

Artist Notes field
Add a private notes category on each Artist's page. We need to note all sorts of things but cannot in SAM. this is the best location for keeping these data visible and manageable amongst multiple staff.

Data entry fields in Add Artwork and other pages to be lighter
In the cataloguing section the textentry/form fields are the same colour as the surrounding area (Eg Catalogue#, Artist Name, Category, size, etc..). Would it be possible to make them white or at least a lighter blue colour?

when saving a consignment, have the option of all artists on that consignment having their CV updated (with the details for the exhibition).

Stocktake on consigned works also
We would like to be able to stocktake consigned works from artists, those that are not purchased.
This way we can easily know the value of works in the art centre and know what is missing still by using the convenient stocktake function.
We would expect these works not to create a loss as the art works are not owned by the art centre.

Artwork certificates with long stories printing onto 2 pages - second blank except for header
When I am printing certificates those with long stories often print a second page that is blank but has our header and logo on it. I would like certificates to just print on 1 page even if they are long stories if they don't require a second page.
2 votesThis is often a limitation of the reporting tool, new versions are been release regulary and we have made it known to them so we hope it will be updated soon to do this.
We can how fix this issue with a patch on the reports (certificates) that have this problem. Contact support for fix when needed. -
Tracking movements between storage/exhibition locations
It would be rally useful to have a field added in which we can track the location of each artwork within our building or when it is out being stretched or out on exhibition e.g. which gallery it's displayed in, which storage rack it's in or which display venue it's currently at.

Show only the reports that the specific Art Centre uses in "select a report"

Invoice - show fully paid
On the "search invoices" page - have a way of showing which invoices are fully paid and which are outstanding. It would also be good to show on this page how much is left to pay (as well as the amount that has been paid).

Make the consignment numbers sequential
Make the consignment numbers sequential along with the date so that we can see consignments when searching in numerical order
1 voteThey are. When using SAM with a Black Box they can get out of sequence if 2 consignments are done and the system has not synced yet.
